The CAPOEIRA experience leaves you painted with lively colors, it is artwork formed with broad strokes not of a paintbrush but of body movement. It is both playful and deep, and although its full definition often escapes our grasp, it could be conveyed seemingly perfectly in its music and songs. This is the beautiful Brazilian game called CAPOEIRA.

SINHA BAHIA DE CAPOEIRA is the embodiment of the spirit of true capoeira education. Showing that capoeira seeks not to segregate people, but rather focuses on building a united community which transcends all forms of prejudice. Capoeira is not about destruction but of family. It isn’t meant only for those who can afford, but it makes itself attainable to those who have a great desire to learn. And finally, Capoeira is not merely done for show, but it is meant to truly make better people through this unique Brazilian art.

This site was made in honor of our revered Capoeira Mestre, Mestre Torpedo, and all our Sinha Bahia Mestres around the world as well as our brothers and sisters in capoeira. Salve Sinha Bahia!
