In the spirit of complete Capoeira learning, the officers of SINHA BAHIA DE CAPOEIRA MANILA along with Mestre Torpedo, Nina Gluesing and Pedro Sena had taken time out and made a great effort to organize FREE STUDY GROUPS for its members and the groups friends. The first class was conducted at Friday's Glorietta in Makati which was attended by close to 35 members and friends. This was followed by a second class (March 29th 2009) at Fazoli's Mega Mall right after the Capoeira Demonstration. It was likewise well attended with the addition of some first timers who missed the pioneer class.
It is a chance for the members to bond with one another and enjoy each other's company away from capoeira training... but eventually ending up talking about capoeira anyway. Joseph Pagulayan (Head of operations) says "We will continue to create these opportunities for FREE LEARNING for our members because they are what makes SINHA BAHIA MANILA a strong capoeira movement. And as they are groomed to be good future capoeira ambassadors of the school, we make the extra effort to create activities that will enrich their capoeira experiences. And as it is freely shared to them today, they would continue on with the same virtue in the future. Plus, the practice helps us converse better with our Brazilian Mestre too".
